How to secure nail powder reliably?

Many nail technicians avoid using nail powder because it often appears to “peel off” the nail. However, this is not an inevitable result — it is usually caused by incorrect sealing of the material. As with any nail design, following the application sequence is essential.

Application method:

1. Perform standard nail plate preparation.
2. Apply a base coat or gel. Cure in the lamp for 120 seconds.
3. Apply the base colour you want beneath the powder effect. It can be any shade, including nude or a transparent base layer. Cure for 90 seconds.
4. Apply a no-wipe top coat and cure for 60 seconds. Alternatively, cleanse the coated nail and rub in the powder.
5. If applying the powder onto the top coat before it cools down, immediately rub in the powder using an applicator or fingertip. Remove excess with a soft brush. Cure for 30 seconds.
6. Lightly file the edges or buff them gently.
7. Seal the free edge with base coat (using a thin brush). Cure for 30 seconds.
8. Apply top coat while sealing the edge of the nail. Cure for 120 seconds.
9. Enjoy an incredible manicure that will not go unnoticed!
